Bio - Christopher Meade
Chris Meade is the president of LeadershipAlive.com®. He is an author, speaker, leader, educator, and musician. He earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University. He earned a second Master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Idaho in Education with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Learning.
Chris is the lead and founding pastor of GraceChapel.com, an innovative, Christ-centered, multicultural church located in Boise, Idaho where he has served for close to 17 years. He is an ordained minister and associated with the Foursquare Church International.
Chris is an Assistant Professor of Management at George Fox University's MBA graduate program and the Coordinator of Community Consulting Projects. He has also taught in the Doctor of Management program on the Portland campus.Chris has taught classes in Leadership Dynamics, Transformational Leadership, Executive Level Management, Business and Leadership Ethics, Management and Organizational Behavior, Research Methods, Statistics, Christian Faith &Thought, and a professional leadership development course in the Disc Personality Profile Assessment.
Chris has served as a consultant and a leadership coach to a wide range of non-profit organizations and individuals and companies in the private sector. He has over 20 years of professional experience as an educator, entrepreneur, pastor, motivational speaker, and leadership coach. As a motivational speaker, Chris’s most popular talks include subjects on leadership and personal and spiritual growth.
Chris is the author of Leadership Alive: Changing Leadership Practices in the Emerging 21st Century Culture. This one-of-a-kind book on leadership and emerging culture was grounded upon research interviews with 20 national Christian leaders from the East Coast to the Pacific Rim. Chris's second book, Christianity Alive: Faith. Love. Action. was released in 2009. Chris's third book, The New Testament Alive - Volume I: The gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke & John will be released in 2010.
Chris is a musician and songwriter. He and his wife, Mary, have composed over 50 original songs, 40 of which are listed with CCLI and/or Word Music ® and can be found at WorshipAlive.com. He has produced three original worship albums: Tell the People, Packin' Up My Sorrows, and Stronger Than Life. A fourth worship album is currently being recorded.
Chris enjoys running, playing the guitar, reading, writing, and eating sushi any chance he can. Chris has been married to his wife and best friend, Mary, for 25 years. They have three children: Luke, Megan, and Allison and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Rachel.
