About Chris Meade

Chris Meade is the president of LeadershipAlive.com®, a nonprofit organization focused on developing emerging, 21st century servant-leaders, teams, and organizations through inspiring, coaching, training, and resourcing.

Chris is the founder and lead pastor of GraceChapel.com, an innovative, multicultural, and multigenerational church located in Boise, Idaho. He has been involved in Christian ministry for over 20 years. He is an ordained minister with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. He has helped establish a new church in the Denver, Colorado, area, and another in Kuna, Idaho.

Chris is an Assistant Professor of Management at George Fox University’s MBA and Masters of Organizational Leadership graduate programs in Boise, Idaho. He has taught classes in Leadership and Management, Business Ethics, Research Methods, and Christian Faith and Thought. Chris has served as a consultant and a leadership coach to a wide range of non-profit organizations and individuals and companies in the private sector. He has over 20 years of professional experience as an educator, entrepreneur, pastor, motivational speaker, and leadership and life coach.

Chris earned both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Organizational Leadership from George Fox University. He earned a second Master’s degree in Christian Ministry from Northwest Nazarene University. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Idaho in Education with an emphasis in Leadership and Organizational Learning.

As a motivational speaker, Chris’s most popular talks include subjects on leadership and personal and spiritual growth. His research and writing interests include: organic leadership, emerging 21st century culture, spiritual formation, and change.

Chris is the author of Leadership Alive: Changing Leadership Practices in the Emerging 21st Century Culture. This newly released, one-of-a-kind book on leadership and emerging culture was grounded upon research interviews with 20 national Christian leaders from the East Coast to the Pacific Rim. His second book, Gracefully Alive: Insights on Faith, Wholeness & Spirituality will be released later this year.

Chris is a musician and songwriter. He and his wife, Mary, have composed over 50 original songs, 40 of which are listed with CCLI and/or Word Music ® and can be found at WorshipAlive.com. He has produced three original worship albums: Tell the People, Packin’ Up My Sorrows, and Stronger Than Life.

Chris enjoys running, playing the guitar, reading, writing, and eating sushi any chance he can. Chris has been married to his wife, Mary, for 24 years. They have three children: Luke, Megan, and Allie and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Rachel.
